About Us

   Bourbon Creek Orchards was founded in 1991 with the purchase of land near Richmond in Tasmania. The first planting in 1993 of 1200 trees included the varieties; Sunburst, Van, Vista and Vega and was followed in 1994 with some of the first Lapin plantings in Tasmania.

   Bourbon Creek Orchards started to pick fruit and sell it locally to independent stores and Woolworths supermarkets in Hobart in 1995 and later began to work with Antico International in Sydney sending fruit to the Sydney Markets.

   In the late 1990’s Bourbon Creek Orchards developed more land and planted more trees. The new popular varieties at that time were Lapin, Stella, Simone and Sweetheart.

   Bourbon Creek Orchards started to export fruit overseas with the assistance of Antico International in the early 2000’s as the new plantings came online. Bourbon Creek Orchards has been working hard to build its brand and good reputation for more than 20 years.

   Bourbon Creek Orchards has quality assurance accreditation covering the production, harvest and packing of cherries. Our goal is to consistently produce cherries of the highest quality using the most advanced methods available. Innovation, experimentation and attention to detail are at the core of our business.
